About my clay journey
My hands and my heart have been in clay since high school, when I spent my study halls and lunch periods in the art studio.
At Alfred University the moving images and sound in video art lured me away from ceramics. I worked as a video producer for over 20 years, but clay was never too far away.
In winter of 2023, I bought a wheel, made a studio in my home, and built more skills. I added a kiln a few months later.
I make- rustic and whimsical pottery for daily enjoyment, porcelain agate-ware jewelry, and eclectic ceramic curios. You can find me at local farmers markets, pop-ups, Artists and Fleas, and Renegade Craft Fair in 2025.
When in Brooklyn, reach out and come visit me in the studio.
Kettle and Kame Clay Studio is a place to connect with clay and create in a supportive environment. Custom projects welcome.

Why Kettle and Kame?
Kettle and kame are unique geological formations that occur as glaciers melt and retreat. These formations mounds and depressions marked the landscape of my childhood. My father had a deep love for rocks and geology, which inspired me to name my studio Kettle and Kame in his honor. These natural features not only populate the earth but also echo the opening of nearly every piece of wheel-thrown pottery.
